Delhi Weather: No Rain Likely As Temperature Reaches 34°C

Delhi-NCR is likely to remain largely dry on Tuesday, with clear skies and temperatures reaching around 34°C, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The minimum temperature is likely to settle at around 24°C as the southwest monsoon continues to withdraw from northwest India.

The national Capital is likely to get a break from the cloudy conditions and occasional showers recorded in recent weeks. Relative humidity may remain around 60 per cent, while temperatures could rise during the afternoon before easing later in the day.

Among Delhi’s weather stations, Palam may record a minimum of around 23°C.

Lodi Road and Ayanagar may record around 24.3°C and 24.2°C, while the Ridge could see 22.5°C. The IMD issued no warning for Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh, though thunderstorms may increase later this week. A Bay of Bengal system is also likely to intensify and bring heavy rain.

The system could bring significant rainfall to Odisha, with the IMD issuing alerts for several districts. Rainfall is likely to remain active across parts of the state over the coming days.

Kerala may also receive light to moderate rainfall, with isolated heavy showers possible in several districts. Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim could see thunderstorms, lightning and heavy rain.

East Uttar Pradesh may receive increased rainfall from September 24, while West Uttar Pradesh could see similar activity from September 25, along with thunderstorms and squally conditions.

Delhi-NCR is likely to remain mainly clear through September 24, with partly cloudy skies likely thereafter. The Bay of Bengal system is expected to drive rainfall and thunderstorm activity across several parts of the country later this week.
