Delhi-NCR Weather Update: Yellow Alert In Force As Rain Activity Continues

On Friday, Delhi-NCR is set for another wet and cloudy day, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting light rain across several areas and moderate showers at isolated places.

Thunderstorms and lightning are possible, particularly later in the day and at night.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi for Friday and Saturday, with rainfall likely to keep temperatures lower than recent levels.

The capital may record a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius and a maximum of around 31 degrees Celsius.

In Noida, skies will likely remain cloudy with spells of rain, while temperatures could range between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Gurgaon may see afternoon showers, with the mercury likely to stay between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius. Some parts of Haryana could receive heavy rain.

Ghaziabad will likely experience cloudy conditions with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. Temperatures may, however, remain between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Faridabad could see rain under overcast skies, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius and isolated heavy showers possible in southern Haryana.

Rain and thunderstorms will likely remain active through Saturday before gradually easing after the weekend.

The weather system developing over the Bay of Bengal is likely to influence rainfall across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

The IMD has warned of thunderstorms and strong winds, with gusts potentially reaching 70 kmph during intense weather activity.

Rain may reduce visibility and make roads slippery, so commuters should drive carefully.
