Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially returned to the Wear OS platform with the launch of the Xiaomi Watch 5 at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona.
Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Watch 5 at MWC 2026, marking its first Android smartwatch since the Xiaomi Watch 2 and Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro.
The Watch 5 ships with Wear OS 6 and built-in Google Gemini support, strengthening its place in Google’s AI ecosystem. It features a 1.54-inch sapphire-protected display in a stainless steel frame and runs on the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with a BES2800 co-processor.
A 930mAh silicon-carbon battery delivers up to six days in smart mode and 18 days in power-saver mode.
The watch also introduces EMG-based gesture controls, letting users snap fingers or rub their wrist to dismiss calls, silence alarms, or activate Gemini.
Priced at €299.99, the Watch 5 offers premium features at a competitive rate. It includes Google services such as Wallet and Maps, alongside Xiaomi’s HyperConnect tools for remote camera operation and smart home control.
Global shipping is expected to commence shortly after MWC 2026, with full reviews anticipated in the coming weeks.
