Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed 30 million subscribers on YouTube, reinforcing his status as the most followed global leader on the video-sharing platform. With this milestone, he now tops the rankings among both serving and former heads of government in terms of subscriber base.
Available figures show he remains significantly ahead of other prominent political leaders worldwide.
Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro holds the second position with approximately 6.6 million subscribers, roughly one-fourth of PM Narendra Modi’s total.
PM Modi’s digital presence on YouTube also surpasses that of US President Donald Trump, with the Indian Prime Minister commanding more than seven times the number of subscribers, underlining the scale of his online engagement and outreach.
Within India, the gap is similarly pronounced.
PM Modi’s YouTube channel has nearly three times as many subscribers as that of Rahul Gandhi. His subscriber base is also more than four times higher than that of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress individually.
The achievement further highlights his dominance in digital communication among world leaders.
The YouTube milestone comes shortly after PM Modi crossed 100 million followers on Instagram on February 26, becoming the first serving world leader and politician to reach that mark. Since joining the platform in 2014, he has steadily expanded his digital footprint.
Among international leaders on Instagram, Prime Minister Modi leads in follower count. His tally is more than double that of Donald Trump, who stands second with 43.2 million followers.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto follows with 15 million, Brazilian President Lula with 14.4 million, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with 11.6 million, and Argentine President Javier Milei with 6.4 million.
On X, PM Modi has 106.3 million followers, while on Facebook, his following stands at 54 million, reflecting his expansive global digital reach, particularly among younger audiences.
