Vivo Unveils X Fold 5 & X200 FE In India To Expand Premium Smartphone Line-up

Vivo officially launched the much-awaited X Fold 5 and X200 FE smartphones in India today during a live-streamed event starting at 12 PM IST.

The event was accessible via Vivo India’s official YouTube channel, the brand’s website (vivo.com/in), and Flipkart.

Viewers tuned in to witness Vivo’s strategic expansion into the foldable phone category and the compact flagship smartphone segment.

The Vivo X Fold 5 positions itself as a flagship foldable, boasting a 6.53-inch cover display and a spacious 8.03-inch inner AMOLED screen, both delivering a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

Measuring just 9.2 mm thick when folded and weighing approximately 217 grams, it claims a spot among the slimmest foldables in its category.

Vivo equips the device with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, along with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

A 6,000mAh battery supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Photography gets a boost with a triple 50MP rear camera system, Zeiss optics, and up to 100x digital zoom, alongside dual 20MP selfie cameras.

The device may also debut new AI tools such as Gemini Assistant, AI Erase, and a Shortcut button to enhance productivity and user experience.

X200 FE: Compact flagship with flagship power

Alongside the foldable, Vivo introduced the X200 FE, designed for users who want compact yet powerful devices.

It features a 6.31-inch AMOLED screen with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits brightness. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, the phone may come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Camera features include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens offering 100x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Vivo is expected to equip the device with an IP68/IP69 rating, a robust 6,500mAh battery, and 90W fast charging support.

The company plans to price the Vivo X Fold 5 at around ₹1,49,999, while the X200 FE may launch with a starting price of ₹54,999.

Vivo planned to confirm the final availability details and launch offers during the event.

These new launches underscore Vivo’s aggressive push into high-end segments, with a blend of premium design, robust performance, and next-gen AI features.
