Summer Davos 2026: Experts Say India Can Lead The Global AI Revolution

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly emerging as a transformative force that can solve complex real-world challenges.

Experts said India’s vast pool of young talent places the country in a strong position to lead the global AI landscape at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions, or Summer Davos, in Dalian, China.

Speaking to IANS on the sidelines of the event, Vivek Vyas, Co-Founder of Intuitive AI, said the company has developed AI-powered waste management solutions designed to create cleaner and more sustainable urban environments.

The Canada-based firm uses artificial intelligence to process and manage waste in an environmentally responsible manner. Its smart waste management technology is designed for high-traffic public locations, including airports, railway stations and shopping centres.

Vyas emphasised that India’s greatest strength lies in its youthful and highly skilled workforce. He noted that the country already possesses a strong economic foundation and continues to demonstrate impressive growth.

Experts also highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in accelerating scientific discovery and innovation.

Dr Hermann Tribukait, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Atinary Technologies Inc, said AI is transforming research and development by enabling scientists to identify solutions more efficiently and shorten innovation cycles. He explained that faster scientific advancement can generate breakthroughs in sectors such as healthcare, clean energy and other fields that directly enhance quality of life.

Dr Tribukait stressed that both science and artificial intelligence should remain focused on delivering benefits for humanity. He also praised India’s expanding innovation ecosystem, citing its large base of talented engineers, researchers and young innovators.

According to him, increased investment in AI-driven research could significantly strengthen India’s contribution to global scientific advancement.

The three-day Summer Davos conference, held from June 23 to June 25, brought together more than 1,700 global leaders under the theme ‘Innovating at Scale’.
