Ajay Devgn Unveils First Look Of Chauhaan; Announces 2027 Release

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will likely return to the big screen in a powerful action avatar with his upcoming film Chauhaan.

The makers unveiled the title announcement video on Thursday, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the late action director Veeru Devgan, Ajay’s father.

The action-packed preview offers a glimpse into the film’s intense backdrop, featuring scenes inspired by unrest in Kashmir.

The video showcases police personnel attempting to control a turbulent crowd, setting the tone for the high-octane entertainer.

The announcement generated significant buzz as Chauhaan marks Ajay Devgn’s first professional collaboration with filmmaker Aanand L Rai.

Presented by Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions, the film is directed by Neeraj Yadav and backed by producers Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma.

The title announcement also featured the iconic song Jumma Chumma De De from the 1991 film Hum, culminating with the dialogue, ‘Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai’.

The makers confirmed that the film will release in cinemas on October 1, 2027.

On the occasion, Ajay Devgn also paid tribute to his late father by sharing a nostalgic archival video on social media.

In the clip, Veeru Devgan spoke about his long-held belief that his son would become an actor someday. He further recalled his own aspirations of acting and expressed his desire to see Ajay succeed as a film hero. Chauhaan is likely to be one of the major action releases of 2027.
