Samsung Launches Nationwide Fit India Walk-A-thon 2026 With Cash Rewards For Participants

Samsung has announced the Fit India Walk-a-thon 2026, a nationwide fitness initiative designed to encourage Indians to adopt regular walking habits through a gamified step-count challenge.

Hosted on the Samsung Health app, the month-long programme will commence on Republic Day and combine physical activity with competitive incentives.

The initiative invites fitness enthusiasts and casual walkers alike to participate by tracking their daily steps and working towards a cumulative target over 30 days. Samsung says the challenge aligns with its broader focus on digital wellness and preventive healthcare.

Registrations for the Fit India Walk-a-thon open on 22 January 2026 via the Samsung Health app. The challenge itself will run from 26 January to 24 February 2026. To qualify for rewards, participants must complete a total of 2,00,000 steps during the challenge period.

The Samsung Health app enables real-time step tracking, allowing users to monitor their daily activity and overall progress throughout the event. Participants can also view comparative performance through in-app features, adding a competitive edge to the challenge.

Prizes and Rewards on Offer

Participants who successfully reach the 2,00,000-step milestone will receive a scratch card in the Benefits section of the Samsung Members app. Winners will be selected through a lucky draw conducted after the challenge concludes.

As part of the rewards, three participants will receive Amazon gift cards worth ₹10,000 each. In addition, 1,000 users will win Amazon gift cards valued at ₹500, offering broad chances of winning for consistent performers.

Samsung has integrated leaderboard tools within the app to help users stay motivated by tracking rankings and progress against fellow participants across the country.

Samsung Health is a comprehensive digital wellness platform that tracks a wide range of health indicators, including steps, heart rate, exercise routines, sleep cycles and calorie intake.

The app also supports features such as personalised fitness goals, guided workout programmes, medication reminders, and secure storage of medical records, including prescriptions and lab reports.

To join the Fit India Walk-a-thon 2026, users need to register through the Samsung Health app from 22 January, enable step tracking, and complete 2,00,000 steps between 26 January and 24 February 2026.

Progress can be monitored daily using the app’s step counter and leaderboard features.
