realme has been named the ‘Most Popular Smartphone Brand Among Youth’ in the CyberMedia Research (CMR) Consumer Insight Survey 2026.

The recognition reflects high user satisfaction and strong advocacy among Gen Z and Millennial consumers.

The survey, conducted across eight cities, highlights the growing dependence of young users on smartphones.

Around 74 per cent of respondents reported spending more than four hours daily on their devices, underlining the importance of performance, reliability and seamless user experience.

According to the findings, camera quality is the most significant factor influencing purchase decisions, cited by 86 per cent of respondents.

Battery life with fast charging follows closely at 79 per cent, indicating rising expectations for uninterrupted connectivity and efficiency.

realme recorded the highest Net Promoter Score of 81 among leading brands, reflecting strong loyalty and recommendation intent.

Consumers described it as youthful and performance-driven, with over half planning to upgrade within a year, mainly for better design and camera features.

Francis Wong, CMO of realme India, said the findings reaffirm young users’ trust in the brand’s innovation and overall experience.

Prabhu Ram of CyberMedia Research noted that Gen Z sees smartphones as lifestyle extensions, with design, reliability, battery life and imaging now basic expectations for building lasting loyalty.

Beyond smartphones, realme is also strengthening its presence in the TWS segment, recording high satisfaction in design, battery performance and sound quality.

The report highlights the importance of seamless purchase journeys and responsive after-sales support, as realme continues to focus on performance-led innovation for young consumers.
