OnePlus 15R India Launch Nears As Price And Key Specifications Surface Online

OnePlus is set to introduce the OnePlus 15R in India on December 17, and fresh leaks have shed light on its expected pricing and variants. According to industry tipster Paras Guglani, the smartphone is likely to arrive in two storage configurations.

The base model, featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, may be priced between Rs 45,999 and Rs 46,999. A higher-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage could carry a price tag of around Rs 51,999.

These prices reportedly exclude bank offers, with additional discounts of Rs 3,000–4,000 expected through select payment options.

Design and Colour Options

The OnePlus 15R is said to draw inspiration from the OnePlus Ace 6T, recently launched in China, with design tweaks tailored for the Indian market. Leaks suggest the device will be available in Charcoal Black and Minty Green colour options.

Performance and Display

OnePlus has confirmed that the 15R will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, making it among the first smartphones globally to feature the chipset.

The company stated that it collaborated with Qualcomm for nearly two years to optimise performance and power efficiency.

The handset is expected to sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, aimed at delivering smooth visuals during gaming and everyday use.

Battery and Camera Expectations

Battery capacity is a major highlight, with OnePlus confirming a sizeable 7,400 mAh unit. This marks an upgrade over both the OnePlus 14R and the flagship OnePlus 15. Reports also suggest support for 80W fast charging, though official charging speeds remain unannounced.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 15R may feature a triple rear setup led by a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide lens. A 32MP front camera is expected for selfies and video calls.

Durability and Launch Timeline

Leaks also point to multiple IP ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, indicating strong resistance to dust and water. OnePlus is expected to confirm the full specifications and final pricing at its launch event later this week.
