Nothing Announces Phone 3a Community Edition Launch On 9 December

Nothing has announced that it will launch the much-anticipated Phone 3a Community Edition on 9 December 2025, following an extensive engagement campaign with its global user community.

The London-based company revealed that it had received over 700 submissions from creators contributing ideas for design, software features, and packaging themes.

The winning contributors will each receive a £1,000 cash prize, reflecting the brand’s commitment to collaborative product development.

This initiative continues Nothing’s focus on building a community-centred ecosystem. By involving users directly in shaping its upcoming device, the company aims to strengthen brand loyalty and expand its global footprint.

Observers expect the Community Edition to deliver the same hardware experience as the Nothing Phone 3a Lite, serving as a creative reinterpretation rather than a technical upgrade.

Features Expected:

The standard Phone 3a Lite features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display offering a 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive 3,000 nits peak brightness.

Both the front and rear panels are protected by Panda glass, enhancing durability.

With an IP54 rating, the device offers resistance against dust and minor splashes—attributes likely to carry over to the Community Edition model.

Nothing has equipped the Phone 3a Lite with a 5,000 mAh battery, and it supports 33W fast charging and 5W reverse charging, although the company does not include a charging brick in the box.

The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, paired with 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage. It ships with Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, ensuring a clean, minimalistic interface with optimised performance.

Photography on the Phone 3a Lite is powered by a 50 MP Samsung main sensor, accompanied by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera.

A 16 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls, making it suitable for everyday photography needs. The Community Edition will likely replicate this camera system.

While Nothing has not yet revealed official pricing, the company will likely position the Phone 3a Community Edition within the mid-segment price range in India, similar to the Phone 3a Lite.

With its blend of user-driven design and reliable specifications, the device is likely to attract tech enthusiasts seeking a distinctive smartphone experience.
