Jio has rolled out substantial enhancements to its Jio Gemini AI proposition, now extending the benefits of the Gemini Pro Plan—powered by Google’s newest Gemini 3 model—to all eligible Jio Unlimited 5G users.
The upgrade, which went live on Wednesday, represents a major shift from a youth-only initiative to a nationwide offering for the entire 5G customer base.
Under the new plan, every eligible Jio Unlimited 5G user will receive free access to the Gemini Pro Plan for 18 months.
Valued at ₹35,100, this offer reinforces Jio’s commitment to democratising AI tools and ensuring that every Indian has access to next-generation digital capabilities.
Users can activate the plan instantly through the MyJio app using the ‘Claim Now’ banner.
One of the most significant upgrades is the inclusion of Google’s Gemini 3, the newest iteration of the tech giant’s multimodal AI model.
With this integration, Jio customers can experience advanced reasoning, richer interactions and enhanced support across tasks such as drafting responses, generating creative content and analysing complex data formats.
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai highlighted the model’s rapid global rollout, noting that Gemini 3 is being shipped across Google Search, the Gemini app, AI Studio, Vertex AI and Google’s new agentic development platform, Antigravity.
Pichai emphasised that users can provide Gemini 3 with inputs ranging from images and PDFs to sketches and diagrams, and the model will transform these into fully realised outputs—from board games to interactive lessons and complete websites.
With Gemini 3 powering the Jio Gemini Pro Plan, users can also expect powerful multimodal capabilities tailored for real-world use.
The model can interpret visual content, generate detailed outputs and even propose actions such as drafting replies or organising emails through deeper integration with Google apps.
For Jio customers, this means access to premium AI-driven productivity at no extra cost.
However, Jio’s decision to extend the offer to the entire Unlimited 5G user base aligns with the company’s broader mission to lead India into an AI-empowered future.
By combining nationwide 5G reach with Google’s most advanced AI model, the initiative further positions India as a major hub for accessible, scalable and transformative digital technology.
The expanded Jio Gemini AI plan marks a significant milestone in India’s technological progress, promising to empower millions with cutting-edge AI tools designed to enhance creativity, productivity and learning.
