Google Launches AI-Powered Search Mode In Hindi For Global Users

Google has announced the global rollout of its AI-powered Search mode in Hindi, making it easier for millions of users to access more nuanced and personalised information in their native language.

Google now powers the feature, already available in English in India, with a customised version of its Gemini 2.5 model.

It allows users to pose more detailed, layered, or subtle questions and receive intelligent, contextual responses.

The newly launched AI mode is designed to understand complex user intent across multiple formats. Users can now search using not just text, but also voice and images.

“AI is transforming how people interact with Search,” said Hema Budhraju, Vice President of Product Management at Google Search. “We’re excited to bring AI Mode to Hindi and see how it helps people access information more naturally and effectively.”

Budhraju added that creating a meaningful search experience in Hindi required more than translation; it involved understanding cultural nuances and local knowledge.

The Gemini 2.5 model’s advanced reasoning and multimodal capabilities make this possible.

Smarter & More Contextual Search Experience

Unlike traditional search methods that often require multiple queries to get a complete answer, AI Mode aims to streamline this by offering comprehensive results in a single response.

For example, users asking for ‘aromatic, night-blooming flowers for home gardens’ can receive suggestions tailored to their preferences, all within one search.

Google says this will make exploring and understanding topics in Hindi more accessible, especially for users seeking detailed and contextual information in their preferred language.

The launch forms part of Google’s broader mission to make Search more inclusive and locally relevant.

Millions of Hindi speakers around the world will now benefit directly from this update, which will significantly boost engagement and usability among native users.

Further language rollouts may follow as Google continues to invest in making AI-powered tools available across diverse linguistic communities.
