Zaheer Khan Applauds Indian Star’s Outstanding Performance as Rohit and Co. Dominate England in 1st Test

In a spectacular display of dominance, Team India asserted control on the opening day of the 1st Test in Hyderabad, outplaying England in both batting and bowling. Led by skipper Rohit Sharma, the Indian side showcased exceptional performance, with veteran spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin orchestrating the downfall of England, limiting them to a modest total of 246.

Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the spotlight with a brilliant counterattacking innings during the final session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. His aggressive knock, marked by three sixes and nine fours, propelled India to a strong position, finishing the day only 127 runs behind England’s first-innings total.

Jaiswal, who remained unbeaten with a striking 76 off 70 balls, received accolades from former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan. Zaheer praised Jaiswal’s positive mindset, highlighting his ability to handle various challenges posed by the English bowlers.

The opening partnership between Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma set the tone for India’s dominance, adding 80 runs for the first wicket. Despite Rohit’s departure for 24, Shubman Gill’s arrival further bolstered India’s innings, guiding them to a commanding 119-1 in 23 overs.
