Fighter collection
The much-anticipated film Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand and featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and others, made its theatrical debut on January 25, 2024. The initial response was promising, with the film garnering approximately Rs 22 crores on its opening day. Notably, leading national cinema chains contributed around Rs 11.50 crores nett out of the total, showcasing a slightly over 50 percent ratio from these primary chains.
With an opening of approximately Rs 22 crores, the film’s success on the second day becomes crucial for the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer. The Republic Day holiday is expected to significantly boost the numbers, potentially placing the film in a more favorable position than it appeared at the close of the first day. To establish a solid foundation for a nett final total of Rs 200 crores or more, the film aims to achieve around Rs 35 crores and sustain momentum with two consecutive days of over Rs 25 crores.
The film’s box office performance in India holds paramount importance, considering its limited international release. While North America is expected to contribute significantly, the film’s flavor may not resonate as strongly with audiences outside the subcontinent, except for the Indian diaspora. The aerial action genre faces challenges, with a conservative estimate of approximately 2 million dollars in lost business due to a ban in UAE and GCC. The film’s international collections, initially anticipated as a worst-case scenario, now appear more optimistic.
