Why Bhuvneshwar Kumar Dropped His ‘CRICKETER’ Bio From Instagram, Know Here

Friday brought rumors about Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s future when the India seamer changed a small detail in his Instagram bio. Bhuvneshwar, 33, last competed for India in a T20I in New Zealand in November of last year. He was then benched for the domestic series against the Black Caps and Sri Lanka. Even though Bhuvneshwar participated in all 14 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, India Fast did not make the team for the three ODIs against Australia and has not been seen since.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar changes his bio on Instagram

Bhuvneshwar hasn’t been reported injured either, unlike earlier, which makes his absence even more perplexing. He hasn’t played any competitive cricket since the IPL 2023, and he even avoided playing domestic cricket. Hawkish Twitter users observed how Bhuvneshwar deleted the word “Cricketer” from his description on Friday. Bhuvi’s current profile, which reads “Indian,” as opposed to his previous one of “Indian cricketer,” has many speculating that the king of swing has played his final game for India.

Bhuvi with Rinku

Having said that, Bhuvneshwar’s recent photo from last week with Rinku Singh adds a completely new dimension to the tale. Inside a practice room, a picture of the two Indian cricketers was taken next to the tricolour. Fans of Bhuvi should take heart from the fact that his Twitter bio hasn’t been altered. He continues to be referred to as an “Indian cricketer.”

Journey of Bhuvi in 2022

Bhuvneshwar’s removal from the lineup, barring a niggle or another injury, is still a surprise, especially given how well he played in 2022. With 11 kills, he was the tournament’s top wicket-taker and the only bowler to record a five-wicket haul, including a career-best 5/4. He had a lackluster performance for India at the T20 World Cup, but he still ended the year as the most productive bowler for India with 37 T20I wickets. Bhuvneshwar, who stopped playing in ODIs and Tests in January 2022, is still very active in T20 Internationals despite his age of 33.
