Virat Kohli, the top batter for Team India, has been very active on his Instagram account recently. On his social media pages, Kohli posts images and videos from his cricketing activities as well as, more recently, motivational sayings. The 34-year-old celebrity had been posting inspirational quotes during the WTC Final and had done so immediately following the team’s defeat in the match. Kohli quoted the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu: “Silence is a source of great strength.”
The quotation stated, “The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance,” and was shared by Kohli on Thursday. Watts is an English author.
With scores of 14 and 49 in both innings during the WTC Final, the Indian hitter had a discouraging performance. When India was given a massive 444-run target in the second innings of the match, Kohli had particularly improved. Along with Ajinkya Rahane, the batsman stabilized the Indian innings towards the end of day 4 and appeared to be in superb form. But just 30 minutes into the last Test day, Kohli was out after attempting an outrageous cover drive on a delivery that was wide of the off stump and nicking the ball in the process, delivering a catch to Steve Smith at slip.
“It was a bad shot. It was an ordinary shot. You are asking me about it; I think you should ask Kohli. What was that shot? That was a shot outside the off-stump. We talked so much about the fact that to win a match, you need a long inning. You need a century. How are you going to make a century if you are going to play a shot so far outside the off stump?” Gavaskar had said on Star Sports.
