Shah expressed confidence that under Rohit’s leadership, India will excel in the tournament, despite their loss in the Cricket World Cup 2023 final against Australia.

Reflecting on the 2023 World Cup final, Shah emphasized that although India didn’t clinch the title after 10 consecutive wins, they earned admiration and support. He assured the audience that in the 2024 T20 World Cup, to be held in Barbados, India, under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, will proudly represent the nation.

Rohit Sharma, visibly pleased, received the announcement with a smile, while his teammates showed their support with applause, creating a moment captured in a viral video on social media.
