India-Qatar Friendship grows stronger on PM Modi's visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Qatar today and held a bilateral discussion with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani. PM Modi’s visit was aimed at bringing the two nations closer on different grounds. The Prime Minister shared visuals from his visit to Qatar on social media platform X (formerly known as X). He expressed that his visit to Qatar has ‘added new vigour to India-Qatar friendship.’
The post read, “My visit to Qatar has added new vigour to the India-Qatar friendship. India looks forward to scaling up cooperation in key sectors relating to trade, investment, technology and culture. I thank the Government and people of Qatar for their hospitality.”

Prime Minister Modi got ceremonial welcome to the country. Sharing the visuals of the same, PM Modi wrote on X, “India and Qatar ties are growing stronger and stronger! Here are glimpses from today’s ceremonial welcome.”
Followed by the ceremonial welcome, PM Modi held discussions with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani. After the discussions, PM Modi shared images and said, “Had a wonderful meeting with HH Sheikh @TamimBinHamad. We reviewed the full range of India-Qatar relations and discussed ways to deepen cooperation across various sectors. Our nations also look forward to collaborating in futuristic sectors which will benefit our planet.”
Prior to his visit to Qatar, PM Modi was on a two-day visit to UAE. On his visit to the Gulf nation, he inaugurated the first Hindu stone temple of the city in Abu Dhabi. He performed consecration rituals there followed by Aarti of Radha-Krishna idol consecrated in the temple. The historic moment was experienced by the world on Wednesday.
