Vansh Kathuria, a Class 12 student and emerging powerlifting sensation from Krishna Nagar’s Baldev Park, scripted history at the World Championship Eleven Powerlifting Games held in Moscow, Russia, from December 4 to 7, 2025.

With nerves of steel and extraordinary strength, Kathuria not only dominated the podium but also rewrote the world record books.

Competing against elite lifters from across continents, Vansh produced a stunning performance, lifting a cumulative weight of 492.5 kilograms in his category to become the World Record Holder.

His feat included a massive single lift of 192.5 kilograms, underlining his technical precision and raw power.

The Delhi teenager walked away with two gold medals and one silver, firmly placing India among the top-performing nations at the championship.
