Team India reaches PM Modi’s residence in New Delhi

The T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team India has reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on Thursday. PM Modi will host the winners on the breakfast.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister had called the team after the final match on Saturday. PM hurried to congratulate team India over call after they lifted the much awaited  trophy.

The team will head to Mumbai after having breakfast with Prime Minister at his residence on Thursday. BCCI has arranged a one kilometer long victory Parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede for fans to get an up-close glimpse of their stars with the World Cup trophy.

Felicitation programme is to be conducted following the victory parade to honour the men in blue.  Afterwards, the winning team will also be felicitated at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian squad reached at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the early hours of Thursday.

The victorious Indian team, who won the Men’s T20 World Cup on June 29, have finally landed at the IGI Airport in New Delhi in the early hours of Thursday.

After landing in New Delhi, the T20 World Cup winning contingent headed to the ITC Maurya hotel and then left to a felicitation meeting for breakfast with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
