India’s previous T20 World Cup outing at Eden Gardens dates back to 2016, when they overcame Pakistan.
They also enjoyed a clean sweep over the West Indies here in a bilateral T20I series in 2022.
The Caribbean side, however, holds cherished memories of this iconic venue, having clinched the 2016 world title on this very ground.
Under the leadership of Shai Hope, they will attempt to preserve their unbeaten World Cup record at Eden despite entering the contest on the back of a heavy loss to South Africa.
