Sunrisers Hyderabad Beat Mumbai Indians By 6 Wickets In IPL 2026 Chase Of 244

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured an impressive six-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday. Chasing a daunting target of 244, SRH completed the run chase in just 18.4 overs.

The win lifts SRH to third place in the points table with six victories in nine matches, while MI remain ninth after losing six of their eight games.

After winning the toss, the Mumbai Indians opted to bat first and posted a formidable 243/5. The opening partnership between Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton laid a strong foundation, adding 93 runs in 43 balls.

Jacks played a brisk innings of 46 off 22 balls, including three sixes and five fours, before departing. Suryakumar Yadav followed soon after for just five runs, leaving MI at 110/2.

Rickelton then anchored the innings with crucial partnerships, adding 55 runs with Naman Dhir (22) and 56 runs with skipper Hardik Pandya (31).

Rickelton remained unbeaten on 123 off 55 deliveries, striking eight sixes and ten fours.

Praful Hinge was the standout bowler for SRH with two wickets, while Hardik Pandya, Saqib Hussain, and Ishan Malinga picked up one each.

In response, SRH got off to a flying start, thanks to openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. The duo added a blistering 129 runs in just 8.4 overs. Abhishek scored 45 off 24 balls, while Head smashed 76 off 30 deliveries, featuring eight sixes and four boundaries.

After losing quick wickets, SRH found stability through Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy.

The pair stitched together an 80-run partnership for the fourth wicket, taking the team closer to the target. Reddy contributed 21 runs before being dismissed.

Klaasen then sealed the victory alongside Salil Arora with an unbeaten 36-run stand in just 14 balls. Klaasen remained not out on 65 off 30 balls, while Arora added a quickfire 30 off 10 deliveries.

For MI, Ghazanfar claimed two wickets, while Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya took one apiece.
