Sooryavanshi’s Rapid Fifty Guides Rajasthan Royals To Comfortable Win Over CSK

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed a breathtaking 52 off just 17 deliveries to steer Rajasthan Royals to a convincing eight-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.

His half-century, achieved in only 15 balls, ranked among the fastest in the tournament’s history and laid the foundation for a one-sided contest.

The young batter dominated the early overs, striking four fours and five sixes to take Rajasthan to 74 without loss in the powerplay.

This aggressive start left Chennai with little chance of making a comeback. Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 38, while captain Riyan Parag contributed 14 not out as they comfortably completed the chase with 47 balls remaining.

Their steady partnership ensured a smooth finish. Rajasthan seized control from the outset, as Matt Henry conceded heavily in the opening over.

Khaleel Ahmed nearly dismissed Sooryavanshi early in his spell, but a review confirmed the ball would have missed the stumps. The reprieve allowed the batter to continue his attacking display.

Dhruv Jurel added quick runs before getting out, while Parag played a few attacking shots to keep the momentum going. Jaiswal ensured the chase was completed without any drama.

Rajasthan’s bowlers had earlier restricted Chennai to a modest total of 127 in 19.4 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Jofra Archer were among those who delivered key performances with the ball.

Chennai Super Kings were dismissed for 127, with contributions from Jamie Overton and Kartik Sharma. Rajasthan Royals chased down the target efficiently, finishing at 128/2 in 12.1 overs to register a commanding win.
