Former India opening batter Shikhar Dhawan has signed up for the Legends League Cricket (LLC) just days after announcing his retirement from international and domestic cricket. The upcoming season of LLC, which kicks off in September, will feature a roster of retired cricketing greats competing in the league.
Dhawan’s illustrious career features notable achievements, including his recognition as Player of the Tournament in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He has accumulated over 6,793 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs) at an impressive average of 44.1 and scored 1,759 runs in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) with a strike rate of 91.35.

I’m eager to regroup with my cricketing friends and continue to entertain my fans as we create new memories together.”
Raman Raheja, Co-founder of LLC, welcomed Dhawan’s addition to the league. “We are thrill to have Shikhar Dhawan join us. His experience and flair will undoubtedly enhance the competition and entertain fans. We look forward to seeing him in action alongside other cricket legends. This will further establish our league as the premier destination for legendary cricketers to showcase their skills.”
Dhawan joins a growing list of cricketing stars who have come out of retirement to compete in LLC, including Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, and Hashim Amla.
