Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has been rushed to hospital after a heart scare during a commentary session in Australia.
One of the top Australian cricketers, Ricky Ponting was taken to hospital today after he suffered a heart problem while he was busy in a commentary session at Perth Stadium, during day three of Australia’s first Cricket Test against West Indies.
As per the reports from Perth, the wicket keeper-batter Ricky Ponting suddenly felt a severe pain in his chase while commentating in the Perth Stadium during the 1st Australia versus West Indies Cricket Test match. He immediately was rushed to a local hospital where is condition is said to be stable.
Ponting is now working as a part of the Channel 7 experts panel and he so has a gig at the SKY too. He apparently was feeling uneasy during a Live TV commentary before he went off commentary and did not come back.
Though, so far no confirmed details about his health condition has come out, the forty seven old veteran cricket otherwise was in a good state of health. Ponting spoke today during his commentary session around forty minutes before the incident occurred right before the lunch session on the day three of the Test.
Upon the complain of pain in chaste Ponting was taken to a local hospital in a car while being accompanied by the Coach and his former teammate, Justin Langer.
As one of the greatest Australian skippers of all time, Ponting led to his team during the golden era of Australian cricket dominance. Under his captaincy, Australia succeeded in winning back-to-back World Cups in 2003 and also in the year 2007, coupled with the Champions Trophy in 2006.
Ponting is also known as the second-most successful Cricket Test captain of all time cricket history with providing his team a total of 48 wins and leading them to 16 consecutive Test victories. Thus he matched his predecessor Steve Waugh’s world record brilliantly.
