New Delhi, Sep 1: The Pro Cricket League (PCL) will launch its inaugural season at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida. The league will blend elite international stars, talented Indian players, and promising young debutants.
Jonty Rhodes, PCL’s ambassador, expressed excitement about the new league. “The IPL has elevated Indian cricket, but state-level developments are crucial too. This league will offer opportunities for players who might otherwise be overlooked. It will be aired and streamed, providing extra support for Indian talent.”
Chetan Sharma, the new League Commissioner, detailed the league’s innovative features. “New talents will receive support from two marquee players on the field. Jonty and I will ensure top-quality pitches and grounds. Delhi has never hosted a professional league before, so this is a great chance to showcase talent.”
Former players Thisara Perera and Pawan Negi will bring added excitement to the league.
Sachin Gupta, managing director and founder of the PCL, highlighted the league’s goals. “The Pro Cricket League aims to provide a platform for diverse talents. By integrating experienced professionals with rising stars, we believe PCL will captivate fans and set a new standard for league cricket.”
