However, the secondary ticket market is experiencing even more remarkable demand, with ticket prices skyrocketing. A South Premium East 3 section ticket, for example, is currently listed at an astonishing ₹21 lakh on Viagogo, an online sports ticket platform.
Only two upper-tier tickets, offering unobstructed views of the match, remain available, and they are being sold for an eye-popping ₹57 lakh each.

Others shared their observations about the fluctuating prices, with one user noting, “Yesterday I saw a ticket for 15 lakh, and now it’s either sold out or else removed from the Viagogo app.”
Interestingly, tickets for other India matches at various venues are also commanding high prices on the secondary market. For instance, tickets for the India vs. Australia match on Viagogo start at a staggering ₹41,000 and can surge well over ₹3 lakh. Similarly, tickets for the India vs. England match are being sold at a premium price of ₹2.3 lakh.
