MI New York Announces Star-Studded Signings For Major League Cricket 2025

MI New York has unveiled an impressive roster of players for the 2025 edition of Major League Cricket (MLC), set to begin on June 13.

The franchise will be bolstered by the presence of high-profile international cricketers, including South African duo Quinton de Kock and George Linde, Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq and Azmatullah Omarzai, as well as New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell, who is currently leading the national team in their white-ball series against Pakistan.

Retained And New Players To Strengthen MI New York’s Squad

The new signings join a mix of retained players, both international and domestic, who have been key to MI New York’s success in previous seasons.

Overseas stars like Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Rashid Khan, and Trent Boult will continue their association with the team, while the domestic squad includes Monank Patel, Nosthush Kenjige, Heath Richards, Ehsan Adil, Rushil Ugarkar, and Sunny Patel.

Additionally, the squad will feature 2025 draft picks Agni Chopra, Kunwarjeet Singh, Sharad Lumba, and Tajinder Singh.

Familiar Faces Among The Signings

Quinton de Kock returns to MI after a successful IPL stint (2019-2021), where he helped MI win two titles.

George Linde, who played a key role in MI Cape Town’s 2025 title-winning campaign in the SA20, is also back with the MI family.

Linde has been part of the team since the inaugural season in 2023 and will add valuable experience to the MI New York squad.

Azmatullah Omarzai, the Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year for 2024, brings his all-around capabilities to MI New York.

Having played alongside Rashid Khan, Trent Boult, and George Linde in MI Cape Town’s title-winning squad, Omarzai will be eager to contribute to the team’s success.

Naveen-ul-Haq and Michael Bracewell will also be vital assets in MI New York’s quest for a second MLC title in three years.

Both players have the pedigree to make a significant impact on the team’s performance in the upcoming season.

MI New York Bid Farewell

MI New York parted ways with key players like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Dewald Brevis, Tim David, and Romario Shepherd ahead of the 2025 MLC season.
