Match preview: IND vs BAN
The 17th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup between India (IND) and Bangladesh (BAN) will take place on October 19 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Bangladesh has only won one of its three games thus far and is ranked seventh, while India has dominated the proceedings thus far, winning all three of their encounters and commanding the first spot in the table.
In their most recent encounter, India faced Pakistan, winning the toss and choosing to field first. Pakistan actually got off to a good start, with a strong opening partnership and an 82-run partnership for the third wicket, but they collapsed like a house of cards after that. After Rohit Sharma’s carnage, the team was bowled out for a pitiful 191, which was made to appear even smaller.
Despite hitting every bowler in sight, he was sadly unable to reach his well-earned century. India decisively won by seven wickets in that match.
In their most recent encounter, Bangladesh played New Zealand, who won the toss and chose to bowl. Bangladesh lost their first wicket on the first ball, indicating a poor start to the innings. After the top order failed to produce significant runs, it was the seasoned team of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim that did. Only 245 runs could be scored by them on the board. Although they also lost an early wicket, New Zealand was able to simply glide to an eight-wicket victory because of two outstanding partnerships that they had in quick succession.
