Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will look to turn their campaign around when they face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 28 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Kolkata have endured a difficult start to the season, managing only a solitary point from six outings, with rain denying them a result in one fixture. Captain Ajinkya Rahane has yet to find the right balance, as both the batting order and bowling attack have struggled to deliver consistently.

Rajasthan, meanwhile, have impressed with a composed approach. Skipper Riyan Parag has overseen a run of steady performances, keeping the side firmly in contention near the top half of the table.

Eden Gardens will likely offer a surface favouring stroke play initially, before slower bowlers come into the game. The contest could hinge on how effectively each side adapts to these changing conditions.

Head-to-head numbers underline a close rivalry, with Kolkata holding a narrow advantage in past meetings, though Rajasthan have kept pace over the years.

Squads:

Kolkata Knight Riders: Ajinkya Rahane (c), Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rahul Tripathi, Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Ramandeep Singh, Rovman Powell, Cameron Green, Rachin Ravindra, Varun Chakravarthy, Vaibhav Arora, Umran Malik.
