Kapil Dev Inaugurates ISSO Swimming Regional Championships At Adani International School

Cricket icon and former World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev, officially inaugurated the International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO) Swimming Regional Championships at Adani International School.

The event marked a significant milestone as the school became the first institution in Gujarat to host an ISSO regional competition.

115 Young Swimmers Compete In Gujarat’s First ISSO Regional Event

The championship attracted 115 talented young swimmers from the U9 and U11 age categories, representing seven prestigious international schools across Gujarat.

The event provided a platform for these aspiring athletes to showcase their skills and compete in a range of swimming events.

ISSO, renowned for fostering sportsmanship and teamwork, offers students across the country an opportunity to participate in national and regional competitions.

Through these events, ISSO plays a key role in nurturing grassroots sports talent in India.

Adani International School Shines As The Overall Champion

Adani International School emerged as the overall champions of the championship, securing a total of 106 medals, including:

• 19 Gold in individual events,
• 36 Gold in relay races,
• 22 Silver in individual events,
• 8 Silver in relays, and
• 21 Bronze in individual events

The school accumulated an impressive 284 points, solidifying its position as the top-performing institution in the event.

Speaking at the event, Kapil Dev expressed his admiration for the sports facilities at Adani International School and praised the school for actively promoting a sports culture in the region.
