IPL 2026: Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 93 Powers RR To Massive Win Over LSG

Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 64th match of IPL 2026, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. The win lifted RR to fourth place in the points table.

With this result, RR moved to seven wins from 13 matches. In contrast, LSG, who have suffered nine defeats in 13 games, were already out of the playoff race.

Rajasthan now need a victory against the Mumbai Indians on May 24 to seal the final playoff spot.

After losing the toss at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday, LSG posted 220 for five in their allotted overs.

Openers Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis provided a solid platform with a 109-run partnership in 50 balls.

Inglis scored a brisk 60 off 29 deliveries, hitting three sixes and seven fours. Marsh then added 42 runs for the second wicket with Nicholas Pooran, who made 16. Later, Marsh and captain Rishabh Pant stitched a 64-run stand for the third wicket, pushing the total beyond 200.

Marsh delivered an outstanding innings of 96 off 57 balls, including five sixes and 11 fours, narrowly missing out on a century. Pant contributed 35 runs from 23 balls. For RR, Yash Raj claimed two wickets, while Jofra Archer took one.

Chasing a challenging target, the Rajasthan Royals completed the chase in 19.1 overs. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave the side a flying start, adding 75 runs in 39 balls.

Jaiswal scored 43 off 23 balls before departing. Suryavanshi then built a match-winning 105-run partnership with Dhruv Jurel for the second wicket, taking the score to 180.

Suryavanshi produced a stunning knock of 93 off just 38 balls, smashing 10 sixes and seven fours. After his dismissal, Jurel guided the chase with an unbeaten 53 off 38 balls, including three sixes and three fours. Donovan Ferreira also remained not out on 16 off 10 balls.

For LSG, Akash Maharaj Singh and Mohsin Khan picked up one wicket each, but their efforts proved insufficient to stop RR’s dominant chase.
