IPL 2026: Josh Inglis Powers LSG To 196 Against Punjab Kings

In their last league fixture of IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants scored 196/6 after being asked to bat first by Punjab Kings. The match holds high stakes for Punjab, as they must secure a win to remain in contention for the playoffs.

Lucknow began their innings with Josh Inglis and Arshin Kulkarni. Kulkarni fell on the opening delivery, while Nicholas Pooran departed shortly after with just 2 runs.

Despite the early setbacks, Inglis maintained an attacking approach and compiled an impressive 72 off 44 balls, striking 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Inglis built a 49-run stand for the third wicket alongside Ayush Badoni, who contributed a brisk 43 from 18 balls, including 5 fours and 3 sixes. He then added another 65 runs with Rishabh Pant, who scored 26.

Abdul Samad delivered a valuable unbeaten knock of 37 off 20 balls, hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes to push the total to 196/6.

Arjun Tendulkar, playing his first game of the season, remained unbeaten on 5 from 5 deliveries.

For Punjab, Marco Jansen and Yuzvendra Chahal claimed two wickets each. Jansen conceded 33 runs in his four overs, while Chahal gave away 25 runs.

Shashank Singh picked up one wicket, whereas Arshdeep Singh endured a difficult spell, conceding 52 runs in three overs without success.

Punjab Kings currently have 13 points from 13 matches and must chase down the 197-run target to keep their playoff hopes alive. A loss will end their campaign, while Lucknow Super Giants are already out of the race.

Punjab Kings now aim to deliver a decisive chase to stay in contention, while Lucknow Super Giants look to finish their season on a winning note.
