Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bat first in Match 67 of IPL 2026, putting up a formidable target of 256 runs for RCB. Key batters drove the innings with impressive half-centuries.
At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head provided a brisk start at the top of the order. The pair added 45 runs for the opening wicket within the first four overs. Head contributed 26 runs off 16 deliveries before departing.
Abhishek Sharma continued the attacking approach and formed a 52-run partnership with Ishan Kishan for the second wicket. He scored 56 runs from 22 balls, striking five sixes and four boundaries before getting out.
Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen then took control of the innings with a powerful 113-run stand for the third wicket. Their partnership propelled the team’s total to 210 in just 16.2 overs. Klaasen made 51 runs off 24 balls, hitting five sixes and two fours.
Kishan went on to add another 45 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy for the fourth wicket. He scored 79 runs from 46 balls, including three sixes and eight fours, before being dismissed on the final delivery of the innings. Reddy remained unbeaten on 29 off 12 balls, with three sixes and a boundary.
Sunrisers Hyderabad finished with a commanding total of 255 for four in their allotted 20 overs.
For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, leading pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood conceded 51 and 55 runs respectively in their four overs without claiming any wickets. Rasikh Salam picked up two wickets, while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya took one wicket each.
With a high target on the board, the contest now depends on how Royal Challengers Bengaluru approach the chase. The team will require a strong batting performance to match SRH’s dominant total.
