IPL 2026: Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen Power SRH To 194/9 vs CSK

IPL 2026: Sunrisers Hyderabad rode on blistering half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen to post 194/9 against Chennai Super Kings in Match 27 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at Hyderabad on Saturday.

After being asked to bat, SRH began steadily before accelerating through the power play.

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head built a strong foundation, shifting gears effectively. Abhishek dominated the fifth over, taking Matthew Short apart for 25 runs as SRH surged to 63/0 in five overs.

CSK struck back in the sixth over when Mukesh Choudhary dismissed Head for 23, followed by the wicket of captain Ishan Kishan for a duck. Abhishek’s explosive knock ended in the eighth over, edging Jamie Overton behind to Sanju Samson after scoring 59 off 22 balls.

Wickets continued to fall as Aniket Verma and Nitish Kumar Reddy departed cheaply, but Klaasen steadied the innings with a quick partnership. He brought up his third fifty of the season in 32 balls, countering CSK’s pressure.

Klaasen was eventually bowled by Anshul Kamboj for 59 off 39 balls in the 18th over. Late contributions from Shivam Kumar added impetus, though regular wickets in the death overs denied SRH a 200-plus total. Liam Livingstone failed to make an impact as an impact substitute.

Overton and Kamboj led CSK’s bowling effort with three wickets each, while Choudhary chipped in with one.
