India Vs England T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-final: Venue, Time & Broadcast Guide

The knockout stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is set, with India and England preparing for a blockbuster semi-final encounter.

India sealed their place in the last four after a thrilling five-wicket victory over the West Indies in their final Super 8 fixture.

Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 97 at Eden Gardens guided India to the semi-finals in style.

England, meanwhile, topped Super 8 Group 2 after winning all three matches, setting up a high-profile clash against defending champions and co-hosts India, who finished second in Group 1.

India has enjoyed the upper hand in recent meetings, winning nine of the last 12 T20 internationals against England, including five of the most recent six.

The two sides met in the 2022 and 2024 editions of the T20 World Cup. In 2024, India defeated England by 68 runs in the semi-final.

However, in 2022, England dominated with a comprehensive 10-wicket victory over Rohit Sharma’s side in the last four.

The second semi-final between India and England will take place at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Known for its electric atmosphere and batting-friendly surface, the venue promises a thrilling contest under the lights.

The South Africa national cricket team and the New Zealand national cricket team will play the first semi-final at Eden Gardens.

The India vs England clash starts at 7:00 PM IST (1:30 PM GMT) on Sunday, with the toss 30 minutes earlier.

Live coverage will be available on Star Sports, while streaming will be on JioHotstar.

Both teams, led by Suryakumar Yadav and Harry Brook, respectively, will battle for a place in the final.
