India-Bangladesh: Following a 2-1 defeat against Bangladesh in one-day internationals, India will look to mount a comeback in a two-match Test series beginning on Wednesday.
The series’ final Test match will begin on December 22 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. India received a major setback ahead of the series as skipper Rohit Sharma got ruled out of the first Test due to a finger injury.
KL Rahul will lead the visitors in the first Test in Chattogram. As a replacement for Rohit, opening batter Abhimanyu Easwaran was named to the Test squad.
Both teams last met in Tests, in November 2019, with the former winning by an innings and 46 runs.
The two teams have played each other 11 times in the longest format of the game, but Bangladesh has yet to defeat India even once in Tests.
