After months of anticipation and excitement, the discussions have finally begun as the International Cricket Council announced the dates for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy on Tuesday.
The competitions will be held across Pakistan and in Dubai. The tournament’s most important match will be played between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in Dubai on February 23.
Each stadium in Pakistan will host three group matches, with lahore hosting the second semi-final in Dubai. There are dates set aside for the semi-finals and final in Karachi.
England and Australia will face each other in Lahore on Saturday, February 22. Meanwhile, the following day will witness a larger clash between Pakistan and India.
Group A of the tournament features current Champions Trophy holders and hosts Pakistan, along with India, New Zealand and Bangladesh
The teams are among the top eight teams in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup rankings. Group B includes 2023 Cricket World Cup champions Australia, Afghanistan, England and South Africa.
