Hardik Pandya, India’s prominent all-rounder, has announced his separation from his wife, Natasa Stankovic, after four years of being together. The couple made this announcement on Thursday, 18 July, through a joint statement on Hardik’s Instagram, following months of speculation about their relationship.
Speculation about their split began during the 2024 Indian Premier League season when a Reddit post noted that Natasa had deleted individual photos of Hardik from her Instagram account. Around the same time, she also removed Hardik’s name from her profile.
“After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect, and companionship we enjoyed together as we grew a family,” Hardik shared on Instagram.
“We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the center of both our lives, and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness,” he added.
“We sincerely request your support and understanding to give us privacy during this difficult and sensitive time,” Hardik concluded.
Hardik Pandya married actress Natasa Stankovic on May 31, 2020. The couple welcomed their son, Agastya, on July 30 of the same year. They renewed their vows in a ceremony in Udaipur in February 2023, nearly three years after their initial marriage.
The vow renewal took place on Valentine’s Day, in an intimate destination wedding attended by close friends and family. The ceremony, held on February 14, featured Christian rituals and a white theme.
After the T20 World Cup 2024, Hardik revealed that he had been going through tough times but had not spoken about his troubles publicly.
Additionally, on Thursday, Hardik was dropped from the Indian leadership group for the tour of Sri Lanka, where India will play three T20Is and three ODIs.
