During a village-level workers’ dialogue program in Gumla, Jharkhand, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Thursday (July 18) that people want to become superhuman from humans, then deities, and from deities to gods. A political debate has also started on this matter. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh took a jibe at it, saying perhaps Prime Minister Narendra Modi got the news of launching an Agni missile.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, “There is no end to progress. People want to become superhuman, but they don’t stop there; then they want to become ‘deities,’ then ‘gods,’ but ‘gods’ say they are ‘universal forms.’ No one knows if there is something greater than this or not. There is no end to development. We should think that there is always scope for more. Workers should understand this. We should always strive for more.”
He also said, “I have never been worried about the country’s future because many people are working together for its betterment, and the results will be seen.”
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to say, “I am confident that even the self-made non-biological prime minister has heard the news of this fresh Agni missile, which Nagpur has aimed at the people’s welfare route of Jharkhand.”
In an interview with a news channel during the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi reportedly stated he was “not biological but sent by God.”
PM Modi reflected that while he once believed he was born biologically, his experiences after his mother’s passing convinced him that God sent him. He attributed his strength not to his body but to divine intervention, stating that God granted him the ability, strength, purity of heart, and inspiration to fulfill his role. He described himself as merely an instrument sent by God.
