BCCI Annual Contract List for 2023-24 Out, Drops Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan

The Senior Men’s Annual Player Contracts for Team India were released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday. The contracts cover the period from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024.

Note Highlights the Non-Consideration of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan

“Please note that Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were not considered for the annual contracts in this round of recommendations,” stated the BCCI.

These are the following players based on grades:-

Grade A+ (4 Athletes)

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.

Grade A (6 Athletes)

R Ashwin, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya.

Grade B (5 Athletes)

Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Grade C (15 Athletes)

Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaekwad, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, KS Bharat, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Rajat Patidar.

Athletes who fulfill the requirement of participating in a minimum of three Tests, eight ODIs, or ten Twenty20 Internationals during the allotted time will also be automatically added to Grade C. For example, after playing two Test matches so far, Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan will be promoted to Grade C if they play in the Dharamsala Test Match, which is the fifth Test of the current series against England.
