Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan Will Continue As Hosts, Team India To Play Its Matches In These Nations…

The Asia Cup 2023 will be India’s final stop before the ODI World Cup later this year, making it an important pit stop for everyone involved. Now, it is being revealed that Pakistan will most likely be the host of the tournament, while India will host its matches elsewhere.

Asia Cup 2023:

Asia Cup 2023 is likely to take place in September, while the tournament schedule is still being developed. A group has been put together to devise a travel schedule that works for everyone.

“The tournament will be permitted to be held in Pakistan after a meeting between the boards was held a few days ago. India will not travel to Pakistan for their matches and will play at a neutral location. India’s matches are likely to be held in Oman, the United Arab Emirates, England, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

Will India face Pakistan three times in 2023?

Six Asian nations will compete for dominance of the continent in the 50-over format of the tournament this year. The teams will be divided into three groups. India and Pakistan have been placed in one group along with a qualifying team; Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, the current champion, are in the other group. The top two teams in each group advance to the semi-finals, where they play each other twice. This makes it possible for India and Pakistan to compete three times.

Jay Shah on IND vs. PAK

The BCCI’s Jay Shah said that this year’s Asia Cup will be held at a “neutral venue” due to concerns about Indians in Pakistan’s security.

Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the PCB, threatened to withdraw from the tournament if it was not held in their nation, which already had the rights to host it. Midway through March, all members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) met in Bahrain, but they were unable to reach a consensus. Despite the fact that everyone agreed that holding the Asia Cup outside of Pakistan was the best option.

As of now, the tournament is currently scheduled to take place in two locations, Pakistan being one of them.
