Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth on Monday felicitated Indian Army athletes for winning 20 medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
He praised their dedication and determination while urging them to target greater success at the Los Angeles Olympics 2028.
The Army contingent secured six gold, eight silver and six bronze medals, accounting for nearly 24 per cent of India’s overall tally of 85 medals. Its six gold medals also doubled the contingent’s gold-medal count from the previous edition.
According to a post by the Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information on X, General Seth felicitated the athletes at New Delhi’s Manekshaw Centre under the theme ‘Jai Se Vijay – Vijay Se Vijeta’.
