Over 54.68 Crore PANs Linked with Aadhaar, No Deactivation for Non-Linking: MoS Finance Pankaj Chaudhary Informs Rajya Sabha

MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary in Rajya Sabha said that around 54.68 crore Permanent Account Numbers, PAN, has been linked with Aadhaar till June, 2023. He said, no PAN is deactivated for the reason of non-linking with Aadhaar. PAN is made only inoperative if it is not linked with Aadhaar. He said over 2 crore people have paid Rs 1,000 for linking Aadhaar with PAN during period from 1st July 2022 to 30th of November. Minister said Rs 2,125 crore have been collected from these people.
