Law Students Challenge Maharashtra Govt’s Holiday for Ram Mandir Ceremony, Seek Special Bench on Sunday

Four law students on Saturday filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court challenging the decision of the Maharashtra government to declare a public holiday on January 22 to mark the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The petitioners have sought the constitution of a special bench to hear their plea on Sunday.
