A trust established for the building and administration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, has revealed the specific features of the temple as the nation prepares to witness the historic consecration ceremony on 22nd January.
The Mandir is constructed in the classic Nagar style, according to the trust. It measures 380 feet long (east-west), 250 feet wide, and 161 feet high. Sharing more details of the temple on X (formerly Twitter), the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra wrote, “The Mandir is three-storied, with each floor being 20 feet tall. It has a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.”
“In the main sanctum sanctorum, there is the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ram Lalla) and on the first floor, there will be a Shri Ram Darbar. Statues of deities, gods, and goddesses adorn the pillars and walls,” it added.

The Mandir is surrounded by the Parkota, a rectangular compound wall of 732 meters in length and 14 feet in breadth. There are four Mandirs at the four corners of the complex, one each for Surya Dev, Devi Bhagwati, Ganesh Bhagwan, and Bhagwan Shiv.
According to the trust, there is a Maa Annapurna Mandir in the northern arm and a Hanuman ji Mandir in the southern arm. There is a historic well (Sita koop) close to the mandir that dates back to antiquity.
A layer of 14 meters thick roller-compacted concrete (RCC) was used to build the Mandir’s foundation, giving it the appearance of man-made rock. The Mandir complex features an autonomous power station, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, and a water supply for fire safety. A 25,000-person Pilgrims Facility Center (PFC) is now under construction. It will offer pilgrims locker rooms and medical services.
It is anticipated that more than a lakh devotees will converge on Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony, which is expected to draw more than 7,000 guests from both India and beyond. The consecration event will be attended by Prime Minister Modi.
The ‘pran pratishtha’ is scheduled for January 22 at 12:20 p.m. A few days earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an appeal to the public to light special “diyas” in their houses on January 22 in observance of “Diwali,” the day of “pran pratishtha” at the Ram temple.
