PM Modi Launches BJP Membership Drive ‘Sangthan Parv, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024

New Delhi, September 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national membership campaign, ‘Sangthan Parv, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024,’ at the party headquarters today.

Modi became the first BJP member for the campaign by giving a missed call to 8800002024 and receiving an SMS to complete his registration.

The campaign aims to expand BJP’s membership across the country. Party President JP Nadda endorsed Modi’s membership and initiated the nationwide drive. Following Modi, senior leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also registered.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and prominent figures such as Piyush Goyal, Bhupendra Yadav, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde attended the event. The campaign also seeks to enroll veteran leaders like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Amit Shah praised the BJP’s democratic membership process and set a target of over 10 crore members. He highlighted key achievements of the Modi government, such as the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, the abrogation of Article 370, and the development of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

J.P. Nadda emphasized that BJP members must renew their membership every six years to uphold democratic principles. The campaign is divided into phases: the first phase ends on September 25, the second phase runs from October 1 to 15, and the final phase from October 16 to 31 includes active membership drives. The campaign will set membership targets for each unit based on recent election performance.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh acknowledged a decline in public trust in leaders but praised Modi’s commitment to integrity and transparency. The first 15 days of the campaign will focus on door-to-door outreach before moving to larger public activities.
