Whether you want to see an epic love story or binge watch a drama series Netflix has everything you need to satiate your entertainment needs. You want Netflix to give you an adrenaline rush sometimes, and other times you want it to give you comfort food. When the latter is the case, you’ll want an excellent thriller that may not be overly graphic but yet manages to terrify you to your core. The streaming service has a good range of choices in the genre, but they also have a lot of other films categorized as “thriller” that wouldn’t be the best use of your time. To spare you some scrolling, we’ve updated our list of the top thriller films on Netflix.

“Pieces of Her”

Toni Collette plays Andy in “Pieces of Her,” whose mother stops a shooting at a nearby diner by displaying shockingly impressive martial prowess. Andy is then compelled to doubt her mother’s identity as long-buried secrets start to come to light.

“The Night Agent”

In this television series, Gabriel Basso plays an FBI agent who gets a call while working at the White House and finds himself caught up in a huge conspiracy. He unexpectedly receives much more than he anticipated when charged with finding a traitor who poses a threat to the security of the United States.

“The Diplomat”

Everything in the life of a diplomat named Kate (Keri Russell) goes awry when she lands in a position for which she is not qualified. She soon discovers that her marriage to a rising politician is in disarray and that the political climate in which she finds herself is also deteriorating. The line separating Kate’s personal and professional lives eventually begins to blur.

“Another Life”

Another thriller on Netflix, “Another life,” focuses on astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) and her global search for extraterrestrial intelligence. On what may turn out to be a perilous one-way trip, she leads her youthful team to investigate the origin of an alien artifact discovered on Earth. Before it was terminated in 2022, the Netflix series, which starred Sackhoff, Selma Blair, Samuel Anderson, and others, ran for two seasons.

“Travelers”

Created by Brad Wright and starring Eric McCormack, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, and Jared Abrahamson, “Travelers” is a sci-fi thriller that takes place hundreds of years into the future. The series follows a group of time travelers who, armed with the knowledge of history and an archive of social media profiles, take on high-stakes missions to the 21st century to save humanity from a terrible fate.

“Treason”

In the British suspense film “Treason,” Charlie Cox plays an MI6 deputy chief whose life becomes significantly more complicated when a former Russian spy reappears. The five episodes in the series are ideal for a story you’ll want to see quickly.

“Kaleidoscope”

“Kaleidoscope” follows a masterful thief (Giancarlo Esposito) and his crew as they embark on their biggest heist yet, which would land them $7 billion. But what makes this series truly unique is that the series’s episode can be watched in any order the viewer chooses, and it’ll still make sense.

“The Recruit”

The CIA lawyer played by Noah Centineo in the movie “The Recruit” finds himself in significant legal trouble because of a former CIA asset. Along with Laura Haddock, Fivel Stewart, Aarti Mann, and Colton Dunn, the eight-episode series features these actors.

“Lupin”

When “Lupin” was launched on Netflix in 2021 (and a third installment is forthcoming), it quickly became a huge hit. In the French television series, Omar Sy plays Assane Diop, a robber who takes inspiration from the great Arsène Lupin and seeks retribution for his father.

“Mindhunter”

In the true-crime series “Mindhunter,” Jonathan Groff plays Holden Ford, an agent who establishes a section to look into serial murders. Ford often only converses with the murderers, but many of them—like Charles Manson and Edmund Kemper—behave in unpredictable ways.
