Omicron Variant BF.7 : The Corona virus variant creating havoc in China, also scares India following a few such cases in India, PM Modi calls a high level meeting

Omicron’s Variant BF.7 :  The variant may prove to be new Corona virus threat in India, PM Modi is going to review the situation related to Corona in the country in a high-level meeting this afternoon.

Omicron Variant BF.7 :  Corona virus seems to have created a furor in China. Due to Omicron’s new sub-variant BF.7 variant the condition in China is getting so bad that the number of patients in hospitals is continuously increasing. People are not getting beds. The increasing outbreak of Corona virus in China has increased India’s concern too.

Now the variant (BF.7) has entered India as well. So far four cases of infection with Omicron’s sub-variant BF.7 have been confirmed in India. In view of the new threat of Corona virus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) are reviewing the Corona situation in the country in a high-level meeting this afternoon.

NITI Aayog advises to wear mask

A high-level meeting was also called by Health Ministry Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday (Wednesday) in view of the vigilance from Corona in India. In which many important decisions were taken. After which NITI Aayog member VK Paul has also advised to wear masks in public places.

Advisory issued by the Ministry

In view of the increasing cases of corona, the Ministry of Health has issued an advisory. Now all the states are expected to get maximum genome sequencing done of the patients infected with corona, so that the variants can be detected. Apart from this, instructions have also been given at airports for random checking of passengers arriving from abroad. BF.7 variant has been confirmed in two new cases of corona virus in Gujarat and also a patient in Odisha was discovered. The report of a 61-year-old NRI woman in Gujarat has been found to be Covid positive. Significantly, the lady already had three doses of the vaccine.

What is the sub variant of Omicron BF.7?

Omicron’s sub variant BF.7 is wreaking havoc in China. Since the time Covid-19 started, since then many of its sub-variants have been developed. One of these sub-variants is BF.7 which is capable of spreading the infection very quickly. Due to this variant, offices and public places in China have become deserted. At the same time, there are long queues of patients in the hospitals.

Features of Omicron’s sub-variant BF.7

The characteristics of the variant are similar to the other sub-variants of Omicron. Due to this, the infected person may have symptoms of fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea. This sub-variant can pose a serious threat to people with a weak immune system.
